Perl Programmer
DigitalWork is actively looking for positive, forward-thinking individuals, who specialize in Perl development.
Requirements:
Design and implement (create and enhance) timely and reliable software solutions.
Develop configuration-driven, self-monitoring, scalable solutions that can easily accommodate ongoing enhancements.
Implement software development best practices and lessons learned as a means of continuous improvement.
Implement various development environments for effective systems integration testing.
Document maintenance and support procedures for production systems.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to transform complex business requirements into sound technical designs and implementations
Good analytical and problem solving skills
3+ years development experience in JavaScript
3+ years design and development experience in Perl, specifically, the following skills:
Application development (as opposed to strictly CGI or maintenance scripts)
Usage as well as creation of Perl modules
Postgres Database programming
Competency in basic Unix platform development and deployment activities
Experience with source control packages such as Subversion or CVS
Responsibilities include development of new features and enhancements to current infrastructure. Ability to interact with customers alongside the Project Manager.
